Statistics service sees Russia’s 2017 preliminary inflation at 2.5%
MOSCOW, Dec 29 (PRIME) -- Russia’s 2017 inflation amounted to 2.5%, the Federal State Statistics Service said in a statement on Friday, quoting preliminary figures.
In December, monthly inflation sped up to 0.4% from 0.2% in November.
The estimate was based on weekly information on average prices for 64 types of most important goods and services. The service plans to present the final data on inflation in December calculated on the average monthly price index of a full list of 506 types of goods and services on January 10, 2018.
Previously, the Economic Development Ministry said it expected Russia’s inflation at 2.5–2.6% in 2017.
